About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Compassion for all.
Write in haiku all day long.
I fucking nailed it!

ABOUT ME

My dream was to be a postman. They say I'm ambitious, but a wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse. I'm deadly serious, painfully so. The last time I laughed I did so because there was nothing else that needed to be done. I take on the wholeness of life, the chaos and the quiet, it's all so alive. I put my nose where it is not wanted. As the age-old, oppressive proverb warned me, curiosity killed the cat... but then I'm not a cat, am I? I'm a fucking temple.

PHILOSOPHY

Logic x the Absurd = Truth; again and again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted in Manchester and Bangor, and surfed in America and India. I've also attended events, arranged road trips and traveled with some lovely people I met through CSing.

YES, WHY INDEED?

I'm here to host travellers, to enrich their experience of London being-in-relation, Spirit in Action. I want to show people beautiful places and work towards a more open community of respect and adventure. I AM NOT A HOTEL. I AM NOT A HOTEL. I AM NOT A HOTEL. I don't have the body to be a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

The good stuff. Anything with depth and emotion. Anything with soul or a total lack of it.

Sound passing through the void, Noise! Ambient, Techno, No-Wave, Krautrock, Industrial, MinimalWave, Italo Disco, Tibetan Buddhist Rites, Drone, the so-called Avant Garde, Pastiche-Pop, Reggae, music to dance to, laugh to, live life to. Oh, and Madonna! Over and over and over.

Death to Videodrome; Long live the new flesh.

John Carpenter, Lars von Trier, David Cronenberg, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Synecdoche New York, Science of Sleep, Holy Mountain, Gummo, Enter the Void, The Mask, that film with the man, the man with the face, and the, you know he says that line, and it's like, no way, you know the one.

True Detective, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Twin Peaks, The Simpsons.

Murakami, Burroughs, Ballard, Masoch, Nietzsche, Kerouac, Baudrillard, Jarry, Orwell. Aesthetics, Musicology, Surrealism, Absurd Realism, Psychology, Anything transpersonal and transgressive, Philosophy stuff and of course Penguin Classics.

It's always changing. Who evens know what they like these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met the prototype of myself.

I held a human brain. Different day.
