About Me

I'm currently a student working towards a degree in physics! I love to cook food for people, especially pizzas and sandwiches. I also love learning to make new foods and trying new foods. I'll talk about anything sciencey like astrophysics, planetary science, biology, etc, or about anything food related.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking my first trip into another country, and a friend recommended I find local people through couchsurfing to stay with. I look forward to learning about different cultures and different people. I look forward to experiencing new foods and drinks and ideas.

Interests

I love learning about space and physics. I hope to eventually be an astrophysicist. I also love making food. Even really basic, easy food is delicious and fun to make. I also really enjoy learning. I love knowing why and how things work.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Muse, Pretty Lights, Arctic Monkeys, Gramatik, Bonobo, Errors, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and local Boise bands like Red Hands Black Feet and RevoltRevolt. I love discovering new music too!
Movies: I'll watch most movies, and give any genre at least a try. Some of my favorite movies are The Chronicles of Riddick, Little Miss Sunshine, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Captain Phillips, and more!
Books: I love to nerd out over fantasy books. My favorite series is The Wheel of Time (I even have a pair of tattoos to represent my fandom), but some of my other top picks are The Kingkiller Chronicles, The Lord of the Rings, all Terry Pratchett books, A Song of Ice and Fire, and The Obsidian Trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A local company had a giveaway for skydiving, and I won it! Best thrill I've ever had so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking is all about sharing, and provides many opportunities to learn and teach! I love learning new dishes and techniques. When I cook, though, it's usually on the fly, analyzing available ingredients and coming up with something super delicious!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not only can I share a few delicious meals with hosts, I can also share stories about my home, descriptions of the Rocky and Sawtooth mountain ranges close to my home. Idaho has some of the most picturesque landscapes! I love conversing about pretty much anything, but my favorite subjects deal with science and food.
