Hi, I'm Craig. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. Really new to couchsurfing, and I suppose my interest in it was sparked from a recent reevaluation on life when I turned 30, wanting to overcome my social anxiety and meet new people. What better way than to incorporate that with my favourite hobby - travelling!
I'm keen to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and learn new languages when possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess it is because i want to overcome my social anxiety first and foremost. Would be great to meet new people from all different backgrounds and get a more native, tailored experience to my travels. I believe that it's more than just getting somewhere to sleep for the night, as we can get a local insight into the area and gain a better understanding of different cultures firsthand. Ultimately, I'd like to make some good friendships along the way where we can share new experiences through travel or shared interests.

Interests

Nothing excites me more than travel, especially to new places and with different people. Getting to do any of my other interests, such as hiking in nature or visiting beaches and the sea, for example, are additional bonuses. I am interested in learning new languages. However, i feel i can only learn a little from reading or using apps. If you have patience or are keen, I'd appreciate your help with learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres (maybe not heavy metal, actually), and i listen to different types depending on my mood.
Haven't properly ready books for many years. However, I have started reading again recently.
Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bad Boys II, White Chicks, Mean Girls, almost all Disney/Pixar movies and Marvel/DC too. Anything with Jim Carey and Julia Roberts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed some of the highest munros in the UK, including the highest; Ben Nevis!

Can teach English. I'd love to learn new languages (currently learning português)

Depending on when you visit, I can tour the city with you or go out for some tea/coffee or to a bar for some drinks.
