ABOUT ME
Where do I start.. At the moment I'm doing my Masters Thesis in Urban Geography, doing some teaching, and some admin work to pay the bills. I took my time through Uni, eventually doing Honours in Sociology and writing a thesis about live music culture in Sydney. I spend at least a couple of nights a week seeing bands, and play in a couple (noisy slacker indie rock bands and pop bands and stuff). I worked in small local venues all the way through uni, and it's a part of my life that is extremely important.
PHILOSOPHY
Yeah a read a fair bit of it, but i'm more of a critical theory kind of guy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I won't get started on music but I like pretty much everything. My record collection pretty heavily favours indie rock and punk (particularly Local/Australian) but I will listen to anything.
As for films, I'm a doco nerd, and am particularly a sucker for films that deal with urban issues/politics/culture.
At the moment I'm reading too much for my thesis to read all that often for pleasure. Soon though...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't like putting things on a pedestal, sometimes the mundane can be just as memorable as the extraordinary.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a degree in Sociology and History, and know a fair bit about the history of Sydney (and live music) in particular.
I'm a drummer and can play a little guitar as well (left handed, unfortunately).
I don't speak any other languages but am very interested in it, It'd be awesome to be taught some new words, in any language.
