About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To watch a live baseball game at every Major League stadium in the United States and/or to visit all the US state capitals.

ABOUT ME

I would like to say I am tall, witty and outgoing but all I can say with certainty is that I am tall.

I am reluctant ever to view anything at face value and take the analytical approach of my degree in History and my job as an editor into my every day life. This could make me sound quite dull actually, but usually I am seeking to find the funny side of some everyday mundane item or situation by looking a little more closely at it.

Interests

My favourite things in the world are music (see below), trains (there is something about being whisked through the countryside in a sealed metal container with people you don't know that appeals to me), beer (particularly that of American breweries - Brooklyn Brewery, Sierra Nevada, Goose Island) and cakes (any whatsover).

Music, Movies, and Books

I guess my main interest in life is music. I would go to a live show every night if I could. Mainly I tend to like alternative guitar bands. Some of my favourites: The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smiths, Dinosaur jr, Magazine, British Sea Power, Yo La Tengo, Echo and the Bunnymen, REM, A Place To Bury Strangers.

My favourite film is Die Hard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would not necessarily say this is an amazing thing, and certainly not an achievement (more a catastrophic waste of money), but I have seen the band British Sea Power 75 times live in concert.
