About Me

I'm originally from Florida and have been living abroad/traveling since 2013, spending most of my time in Thailand (Phuket) and around southeast Asia. I also lived for a short time in Baja Sur, Mexico, Taiwan, and did a couple trips throughout Europe the past few years, too. I taught English in Thai government schools from 2013-2015, in a private school in Mexico 2015-2016, and then have been teaching English online to Chinese children ever since.

For the last year, I've been based back in Phuket, studying Thai (reading and writing) at a language school, while also working on my travel website, focused on cool, off-the-beaten-path locations in popular destinations: www.VagabondDisposition.com

Last September, I decided to finally leave Phuket semi-permanently, and did a 2-month long motorbike trip of far east Issan (NE Thailand) in which I ended at the beautiful tropical island of Koh Chang, where I have decided to stay indefinitely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet like-minded people all over the world :)

Interests

I love the sea, snorkeling, and freediving. Being out deep in the water looking down at all the beauty beneath brings me peace that I don't feel anywhere else. Whenever I'm back in Florida, I also love to go surf fishing off the beach. I love playing music: piano, drums, bass guitar, ukulele, trombone, and always open to learning more. Disc golfing is another huge passion of mine and I always have a few discs with me in case I stumble upon a course. I've also got a bag of original Bocce balls that I keep in Phuket :)

November 2019 edit: There is an 18 hole disc golf course here in Koh Chang! I go nearly every other day (by myself) so I'd be really glad to have someone else to play with, haha
