ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Roy (or Rosanna if 'Roy' is too confusing and male). I'm a wannabe language teacher, student of French and Psychology and currently a bit of a wanderer. At the moment I'm studying in Durham, UK and planning to run away to somewhere in South America after summer to teach English. I'm pretty open-minded and am interested in anything and everyone anyone has to talk to me about. I enjoy great friendships, both new and old; adventures; bad jokes and a good old cuppa.
Salut!
Interests
I am driven by learning; stuff in general fascinates me. I also love to work with young people and to be a part of their learning. I have an ongoing love affair with painting and art. I love to run and trek; surprisingly enough, even to myself, to challenge myself physically, despite the fact that at school I was the awkward kid who was scared of the ball.
I live for long summer days in the sun (or even the rain) - and even for the sweaty, disgusting pulse of the audience at festivals or crowds in new places. I'm also finding I'm living for the hard work in the meantime, and the discovery that comes from constantly being in motion - going new places, learning new things, constantly becoming acquainted with the people that life collides me with, and by extension, with the people that they (and I) are becoming. Music and light gives it all colour. It's a great world to be in - I'm pretty much interested in just that really, the world. And the people in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Awestriking moments... Hmmm..
- Being in the Himalayas full stop. Particularly waking up at 6am with the DUCK Nepal Team to see the entire glacial panaroma at Annapurna basecamp.
- The stars over the Kalahari Desert, Botswana - one of my first experiences of travelling with some of my oldest and best school friends.
- Dancing in the monsoon rain with all the girls in Faridabad, India.
