ABOUT ME

My name is Cathy and I live close to Düsseldorf in Germany. I study Psychology and plan on finishing my Bachelors in 2014. When I was 16 I spent an exchange year in Canada, very close to Toronto and I just recently got back from a 7 months semester abroad in Ohio which was a great experience. I love travelling and I love meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem... I try to make everyday as special as possible and I try to experience as many new and exciting things as possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have heard about CouchSurfing the first time from my Canadian friends who used it to get around the United States and I was very interested. Since I have a spare bedroom in my house in the Netherlands I thought it would be a great opportunity to offer it to travelers and on the other hand being able to travel and experience every country the right way. Hotels or hostels are never the same as living with people who actually know about the city and can explain things to me!

兴趣

I love sports and I have tried many over the years. I have played table tennis for 14 years and I am still passionate about it. I absolutely love music and going to concerts. Travelling are a big part of my life and I am trying to get around even more than I already have.

I read anything and everything. Some of my favourite books and authors are The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet, Nicholas Sparks, Katy Reichs and so on.
My musical taste is very wide. I like Rock, Emo, Screamo, Hardcore, but I also like House and sometimes also Pop music.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have seen a lot of beautiful things and places in my life already and I am very thankful that I got the chance to do so. I loved the rain forest in Puerto Rico (of course it was raining). I also enjoyed going horseback riding in the mountains of Cuba.
