ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town on a cattle ranch and will forever be a country girl. Then I moved to University where the school made me a little more refined and introduced me to some of the most incredible, empowering and inspiring people I've ever met.

Since then I have lived in at least 15 different places and worked 19 jobs. I now have found my groove in Marketing and also, connected with a long time crush :)

We are now moving to Australia to tackle a challenge and accomplish a goal we have had for many years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I arrived in Auckland with no idea of what was to come but Stu, a fellow couchsurfer, and I had made arrangements and he picked me up the airport early in the morning and I never looked back! I was a little uncomfortable being in a different country by myself for the first time, but he did a lovely job at making me feel welcome. He made my first few days in the country awesome - he invited me to join him on his visit to his Mums, which was an epic weekend of summiting mountains! and he also let me join him on the trip back north and stay at his home in Whangerei! It was the best way to kick off the trip - thank you Stu!

Interests

Playing sports, running, taking pictures, exploring new places, meeting new people, finding new adventures, writing, reading... learning new things, fishing, eating ICE CREAM, drawing, jammin to good tunes, havin a tasty brew...

Movies? YES! Pretty mainstream/classic tastes, Oceans 11 tops them all. Disney's Robin Hood, Wedding Crashers, Top Gun, Shrek, Love Actually...

I have crazy eclectic music tastes - anything with a great beat that makes me want to tap my toe.

And books? Atlas Shrugged, The Shack, 'arry Potta, The Bible, Eat Pray Love, Roald Dahl, The Hot Zone...

As a fellow couchsurfer would love to learn and exchange stories/info on places seen and explored. Its one of the best ways to get tips on a new place and I would love to share some insight on places I've traveled as well. Seeing and listening to what others are most passionate about is always a good time!
