About Me

Cheers to the Couchsurfing-Community!
I'm must admit, I lack experience with this platform, I always went for AirBnB by the time when I went travelling or spent some time abroad. But now, after some of my friends wholeheartedly recommended Couchsurfing, praising the opportunity to get to know really interesting people, I decided to finally register.

I'm a journalist, born and raised in Hamburg who finally graduated in Spring 2016, paving the way for a (hopefully interesting) career in the field of international journalism. (I did a Bachelor degree in Media and Communication Sciences, not merely as interesting as it might sound) - I'm currently working for the biggest news agency in Germany, which led to me working as a foreign correspondent in Madrid for a month. I love the news, spending several hours every day screening global news agencies and trying to get an elaborated idea of current happening.
In September, I will start a Masters programme in Denmark, the USA and London - and I'm really excited about this. Right now I would love to host you guys, but I'm always on the hop, which makes it really hard for me at the moment. I'm sure though that there will be plenty opportunities in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met some really amazing people on AirBnb, but afterwards I always figured out that these people have also been really active on Couchsurfing, which made me feel like I was missing out an thrilling stories, exciting talks and new friendships.

Interests

I simply love languages - currently learning Chinese, my girlfriend is Chinese and she's a great help (It's so much work though, any chinese learner is more than welcome to share his/her sorrow with me). In addition to that, I enjoy travelling around, good food, loyal people and amazing Gin-Tonic-Evenings!

Music, Movies, and Books

Uh favourite Music is really hard to say, i honestly love Electrolatino, artist like "Juan Magan" or "Daddy Yankee"....I don't know why, but I could possibly move into one of these very typical Madrid bars and stay there until late noon ^^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I went on a stage (it was a little festival in my home town, pretty packed with more or less 6.000 people gathering up in front of the main stage). They were offering a free mic session and I just came from singing lessons (at this time I was still actively singing) - so I went on stage and sang "My heart will go on" from Celine Dione, had a pretty good high pitch at this time^^ People were freaking out, I had massive goosebumps.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be very happy to speak German/Spanish/English with you, all three languages on either a native of a very fluent level. As I studied politics as a minor, I'm more than happy to get involved in some political discussions, or If you just want to be chilled, have a good cooking session or a walk through the town.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have no references here, but I was told that I'm quite fun to live with^^Let's hope that people were honest with me! :D Jokes aside, I'm always up for a good chat, so don't hesitate - let's hang out!
