About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To build connections, make friends, show people around my town, and live a more interesting life.
ABOUT ME
I like to tell people that I'm very much a Gemini. I don't have a split personality, but there is a duality to me that people start to see. On the surface I can be introverted, which some interpret as standoffish, but really it's just a quiet nature and some shyness leftover from my childhood. When I'm comfortable around people, I start to open up, and I start to talk, and I do love talking. I hear I get more eloquent with each drink.
I play music, write, and draw. Artistic types are always welcome.
My friends are always important to me. Even if I've known you for a day, if you wish to call yourself a friend, I will treat you as such and do damn near anything to help you out.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life for expression. Art has always been there for me, and it always will be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have friends who regularly host CouchSurfers, and I've met quite a few through them. They're always up for hanging out and socializing, and always have interesting things to talk about. With our powers combined, maybe we can show Surfers all that Raleigh has to offer.
Interests
Writing, playing music, drawing fanciful pictures, drinking coffee, drinking beer, drinking whiskey, eating new foods, cooking new foods, cooking old favorite foods, walking around museums, walking around the lake near my apartment, watching British TV shows on Netflix

Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes skews toward folky, Americana, classic country, and bluegrass. This is not to say that I don't enjoy rolling through Raleigh blasting Kanye West from time to time.
If I had more space, I'd certainly curate a larger book collection. As it is, I have a few old favorites littering my shelf: Ulysses, American Gods, the collected short stories of Flannery O'Connor, the collected poetry of William Butler Yeats.
My movie collection, as far as physical DVDs, is also rather small. My latest purchase was Natural Born Killers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As silly as it sounds, standing on Boylan Bridge in Raleigh at sunset always leaves me speechless. I love this town, and that is where to see it at its loveliest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to teach people about food, and coffee, and searching for Raleigh's perfect brunch spot (I have a weakness for mimosas). I like to show people my favorite diamond in the rough hangouts, and introduce them to some of Raleigh's most fascinating characters.
I want to learn anything and everything.
