Sobre mí

Hey all!

After a year of two of having my dreams of further couchsurfing put on hold by the evils of study and work I'm finally doing some more travelling! So glad to be seeing more of the world once more.
I'm 21 and a semi-retired maths student at Glasgow University. Have lived in Glasgow for quite a few years now and it truly is a wonderful city to live in! When I'm not trying to learn equations I tend to either be in work (dispensing away in a wee pharmacy), exploring a random Scottish hill or having some sort of baking or cooking disaster.

I had my first couchsurfing experience in New York two years ago and it really was great fun! Got to know the city in ways I never could have otherwise and I made a friend I've been trying to convince to come to Scotland ever since. It's definitely an experience I'd like to repeat.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've been very keen to couchsurf again after the experience I had my first time! Not only is it a very entertaining way to meet people, actually staying with and being around someone that lives in a place just feels like a much more genuine way to get to know a place. Plus it gives me the perfect excuse to gush about Scotland!

I'm currently unable to host due to flat constraints but hope to soon be able to (in Glasgow, Scotland) so would be excited for hosting couchsurfers and getting the full experience when that day comes.

Intereses

I swear I have interests until I'm asked to describe them... I know I love seeing the world, camping in the wonderful outdoors, gigging and music-listening, admiring Iceland, (occasionally) swimming and making attempts to be more cultured. Oh, and baking. Set me loose on a kitchen and I'll happily go wild with some cake-making. Queer activism is also a major interest; I can often be found marching with rainbow flag in hand. Having finished my time on the committee of my uni's LGBTQ+ society I feel like I have waaay too much free time!

Música, películas y libros

I love indie music and am obsessed with the band Of Monsters and Men! Florence + the Machine and Aimee Mann are other favourites, and I'm always looking to be introduced to new music.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Jumping off a 100m high bridge in Ecuador!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

There is definitely so much for me to learn, and I'm very excited for that! I'm sure there would be sharing of food, drink and conversations. I'm not sure how much I can teach, but you would definitely be likely to learn many random facts about Scotland, Ecuador, baking and maths (questionably).
