About Me

Funny how things work out eh?

One slightly brutal motorcycle accident and a broken leg and next thing you know I'm leavin behind an awesome job and home in San Francisco to fully embrace 2015 as the year of the vagabond. Plan is to have no plan. Climb, trek, jump off things, motorcycle, say yes, dance, swim and play uke as much as possible. Just got back from a 5 month romp in SE Asia, and am now launching into a XC bicycling tour, with a pit stop at burning man :)

Back home Im a therapeutic\superfood chef, and work (if you could call it that) is constantly changing but involves cooking for retreats, corporate wellness, teaching workshops, developing recipes, and ultimately using delicious food to make people feel good. Used to be Couchsurfings in house personal chef (the office is in San Francisco). Such incredible folks there :)

Im really good at...
brightening your day.
Turning anything into an adventure
seeing the glass half full
listening intently
making an decadent meal out of whatevers in your fridge
getting people to dance
fake english accents
Instigating shenanigans

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The incredible community that one tends to accumulate while traveling is definitely one of the main reasons I love it so much. Anything that's a catalyst to meeting other like minded folks up for adventure and I'm in.

Also, while working at Couchsurfing I heard so many incredible stories that I couldn't resist giving it a try it for myself

Interests

Aside from my fanatic love food, I am a fierce lover of hotsprings, jumping off of things, spontaneous adventures, vipassana, anything involving costumes, rock climbing, biking, bush diving (if you havent already tried it i strongly recommend it), backpacking, banjolele, playing in the dirt, howling at the moon, trying new things, growing vegetables, people watching...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Alchemist, Tom Robbins, sci fi and Fantasy

TV: American Horror Story, misfits, True Blood, Six feet Under, Orphan Black

Music: Current favorite is New Orleans Jazz, with a healthy serving of funk mixed in. Trombone Shorty or Alt J Pandora station is my jam. Chances are if there's horns, a harmonica or an accordion, I'm game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once spent a summer in a wheel chair (ankes snapped in a climbing accident) and ended up having the best 3 months of my life. Decided to travel the whole time. front row handicap vip at the best music festivals? YES. and then theres the wheely dance skills I now possess. And dont even get me started on weelchaired streaking. EPIC

aww these types of stories are always told best in person over a cold one tho right?
