Hello!
My name is Jaehoon Lee. You can just call me Jae.
I'm Korean(from the south!), and a senior studying economics & sociology at Yonsei University in South Korea.
I'm now living at Kyoto for SAP(Study Aboad Program) in Doshisha University and will be staying in Kyoto till Feburary, 2016.
I first traveled Kyoto in 2011 and fell in love with this beautiful city at once.
It was my dream to live in this beautiful city and finally, now I'm here in Kyoto and enjoying every moment of my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. To be inspired.
I dare say I learned and was inspired the most when I was traveling. Speaking with a person who has a totally different background is always fun and it helps me to break my limits. Since I have a class to attend at college, I cannot be a traveler all the time. However by Couchsurfing I'll always feel like as if I'm traveling, which means happy!
2. To make friends all around the world.
I'm planning a trip around the world in 2017. When I'm traveling, I want to visit my friends all around the world! I could host you here in Kyoto, and we could be nice friends and meet up at your place sometime!
3. I am paying back the kindness and help I recieved when I was traveling.

I really love traveling around Kyoto. Kyoto is really a fascinating city! Whenever I have time, I always go out and adventure the city. Maybe you could join me, or tag me along to your adventure!
I'm really an active person who loves all kind of sports. I also love outdoor activities and crazy adventure trips(I've seen a guy who's wandering around the world for 2 years with only his skateboard. Isn't this kind of trip amazing?).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've crossed the Kenti grassland of Mongolia with my horse for 3 weeks, which was a really amazing experience! Running on the horseback to the end of horizon, experiencing the life of a real nomad, viewing the Milky Way and tons of shooting stars was so awesome! Can't wait to go back!
I've also hitch-hiked across the whole Japan for a month! I took me more than 50 hitchs, and countless helps from kind Japanese people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't want people who's only searching for a free bed to stay. I want deeper interaction with surfers, so we can learn from each other. This means we talk about ourselves, share ideas, or maybe hangout together. Plus if you want, I can teach you some basic conversation of Japanese which will help your journey to be more exciting.
