ABOUT ME

I love long walks on the beach drinking something fruity and boozey out of a coconut, singing in the rain in the jungle on an island in the Caribbean, music played by bucket drummers on Bourbon street, and all the normal things in life. I'm interested in finding what, to me, are the strangest customs and cultures and understanding why they make sense.

I am a recent travel junkie. Like everyone else, I said I always wanted to, and always would, but not today. My background is in sales, management, and New Orleans. I love the city and have every intention of returning; if you have the opportunity to visit, make it a priority. I would be happy to help with advice and tips for the area, but right now do not have a couch available.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know for a fact, the best way to see a new place is not through the eyes of the Lonely Planet. Im not looking for tour guides, but a chance to have an honest conversation about where my host lives. If that happens to be over a beer or the best meal in town, so be it.

Interests

Happy hour hopping, any live music, talking to anyone about nothing, Futurama, suishi, traveling, occasional board game, Fantasy Football, whiskey, the occasional suit/tux night, anytime spent on the beach, randomly walking into a festival or wine tasting or other such gala event.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am fairly skilled in the kitchen and would be more than happy to help prepare meals. I'm planning on teaching english this fall and would be happy to work with you in that area. I know my beers and whiskies, and i studied philosophy so Im proficient in talking long hours about nothing. Otherwise, my Spanish is fairly decent, I was once fluent, but it has been a while since I used it, so sometimes I take a little longer.
