ABOUT ME

Can be shy and come come across as maybe a little too wordy, but am a genuinely happy person always looking to learn from others and help wherever i can. So long as you give the world it's dues and your faith then you should be alright - if you can't believe it that then i'm not sure what you might have.

PHILOSOPHY

That the phrase 'things could be worse' are the words of true optimist. About as British as i think it may be possible to be, but happy with it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer myself and my time as much as i can - and am good to those who offer me theirs. If I lived somewhere more interesting I think I might have more callers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have no actual experience of the phenomena yet but after arriving in NY and sleeping next to a homeless heroin addict who had been placed in a hostel room with me I was looking for any kind of escape. Following day walking around the city was trying to do anything to avoid going back to where was staying - left at six in the morning and walked the length of Manhattan. Then in the afternoon found a couple who invited me later to sleep on their floor. I don't think i've ever been so thankful of the kindness of strangers.

Since then I have mostly taken advantage of the kindness of strangers and stayed all around the place, although never through Couchsurfing - looking to revive the membership!

UPDATE - have now had the joy of being hosted, both to stay and to be shown around in both the U.S. and upon moving to Singapore! Thanks to all for showing me how CS works!

Interests

Food probably comes top - seems to drive everything else in life - if not eating then am planning to eat - anything new is good - say that until something goes too wrong at least. Combined with this I guess would be drink - in small or large amounts dependent on the circumstances, nothing too strenuous though

On top of that am keen reader and usual music business. Anything that helps to pass the time in a reasonably fulfilling way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Main interests seem to be that which are already established - books that have become classics, the same with films. Music is the same again though broader in liking new things, so long as are good and it seems to have been a while since have experienced anything good and new - live to learn

Good things, but thinking the amazing thing may be around the corner - optimism - see above

My main interests are food and things related to food - writing, eating, making etc - maybe a little general entrepreneurial stuff - always more than happy to waffle over these sort of things.
