About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I will be exploring the Pacific Northwest in 2016. I would like to drive to Alaska on the Alaskan Highway. I eventually want to travel to Australia, New Zealand, Russia, and Chile.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy traveling. I like hiking and have been hiking the highest mountains in each state. I like being outdoors and getting a chance to do some fishing. I also enjoy getting a chance to be active and play soccer. I have a pilot's license, but I am not up to date to be able to fly. I recently got a kayak, so I love getting a chance to take it on the water.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy discovering new places. As I get older, I have found that it's fun to meet new people. It's great hearing about someplace new from somebody who loves where they live.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like books by Jon Krakauer. I liked Into Thin air and Into the Wild. I like books by Rick Riordan. I read the book 127 hours and watched the movie as well. A few movies i really enjoy are Shaolin Soccer, Into the Wild, The Way, the Batman movies, and the newer James Bonds movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned how to be a blacksmith at Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Park on Lake Michigan. I stayed in my tent for 2 months while I was there. My tent leaked water inside, my air mattress had an air leak, and some of the nights in October were chilly, but I had a great time. I remember getting to fall asleep every night listening to the waves crashing on the shore. It was a beautiful area and I learned a lot about maritime history.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot to learn. I am open to hearing what anyone can teach me.
I have taken some GIS classes, but I would love to learn more about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share exploring the outdoors. We can take a bike ride or do something active.
