About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Wonder, Apprecialove, Kindness. Smiles : )) Curiosity to the point of Insight, Connection.
ABOUT ME
I'm deeply concerned about the condition of our environment and future generations and I'm committed to resist and replace what I perceive to be the current fascist regime that has taken root in the US.
I respect and feel deeply for indigenous cultures. They have such wisdom for us yet we exploit them.
I am a grandmother, an Earthling and a planet citizen. I consider all life forms sentient, stand with Standing Rock and Black Lives Matter and support a progressive perspective.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy embraces all forms of wisdom, for example, the Rastafari concepts of knowing your purpose, not being surprised by anything, and "livity: pure mind, body, speech, food and always "Give thanks for Life!"
And I have to quote my son here: " It's amazing to think that the universe progressed from gasses, compression and expansion to take on so many strange modes of reality here on Earth, each one temporarily filling in and changing the blueprint just by surviving and propagating. It's amazing to realize that you and I are too a part of this procession, one whole with infinite facets."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and I surf... both equally satisfying.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started with a wonder-filled trip to New Zealand and Australia. Every CS host was awesome! They toured me and I found myself spelunking, croc spotting, canopy-walking, swimming Josephine Falls in the rainforest and meeting a Cassowary.
Of course I couch surfed back in the day before I knew this site and lived with families in different cultures. It was enlightening living the seamless secular/spiritual life with a family in Bali. I loved making offerings and going to the temples for the trance-dance rituals. My latest trips were to Jamaica where there are few on the couch surfing site but I was invited to live in the Rastafari Indigenous Village for a number of months and another Rasta in Cambodia (yes really!) and his Cambodian partner and daughters who were opening a vegan restaurant. Couchsurfing thrives even off the Couchsurf site!
Interests
In the past, I've explored so many things... Tango, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Zikr, Kirtan, Overtoning and Rastafari "livity " way of being. They are all about abandoning one's self to the movement of life. These practices that bring one into the present fascinate me. I embrace all the arts, cinema, natural wonders and the new experiences they bring. I'm artistic by nature and love to make interiors feel and look wonderful. I enjoy seeing the whole of everything all at once and observe the inter-dynamic forces at play in the constantly multi-arising realities of senses, feelings, physical setting, cultural "we space" and societal structures... ahh, life unfolding!
