About Me

To all inquiring couchsurfers!

Currently traveling, no available to host and couchsurfers.

I'll admit now, I haven't had much experience hosting and I have used couchsurfing mostly for finding couches in the past. I'm unfortunately useless in the kitchen, but what I lack in cooking skills I make up for in tour guide and information skills! I'm always on the go which means I'm out and about for most of the day but I also work part-time from home. Please keep in mind, since my couch is in the same room as me I do have to be very selective due to these factors. Last minute requests are very difficult for me to accommodate. A two week notice or more will give you the best chance for me to schedule your stay properly. Other than that shoot me a message if you're interested in staying or even if you just need some general knowledge of the area!

CURRENT MISSION

Jump First, Fear Later

ABOUT ME

Pretty much my life so far has followed 'go big or go home'. I love meeting people and getting to know them I haven't been able to do it often but everyday brings a new adventure.

I want to hear your story, I want to hear them all or, realistically, as many as I can. I just want to help people and live as much of my life as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I am very open minded. I love life and appreciate it everyday. Nature is beautiful, people are beautiful, cities are beautiful. I love it all. I try to live a "Yes Man" lifestyle and I'm all about doing as much as I can for a community whether it's my own or for a complete stranger.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in San Francisco in Fall 2011 for 6 days for an amazing music festival with the most genuine people I have ever met. I have also hosted a couple from the Netherlands in 2013. So far the couchsurfers I've met have been absolutely amazing. I could ask nothing more of them! I plan on surfing a lot more while traveling internationally in the near future.

Interests

Film, movies, music I love kayaking/canoeing, martial arts. I'm pretty big on nature and the outdoors I really have an interest in Falconry I haven't had a bird yet but once I settle down it's one of the first things I'm going to do. I'm a huge thrill seeker and love doing new thing. I have a ton of things I have wanted to do but haven't yet, hiking, skydiving, anything outdoors or unique.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American Beauty, Reign Over Me, Star Trek, Watchmen, Australia are in my top movies, music-wise I love Passion Pit, Coldplay, Sufjan Stevens, Daft Punk, I love movie soundtracks. I loved LOST, awesome TV show and I love Avatar! Also Breaking Bad, American Horror Story and the Amazing Race. I am a Survivor fanatic even though nobody watches it anymore and also Modern Family is one of my new favorites. I'm halfway through the book East of Eden which is great, and I love epic fantasies I'm about to dive into the Game of Thrones series which i've heard is incredible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the winter I organized a group of people and raised 10,000 dollars in 5 days for a non-profit organization called Invisible Children and then volunteered my time with them for over 7 months in 2012. It was easily the hardest but most rewarding thing I have done in my life. I got the chance to travel through New England (Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island) for 10 weeks which was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I had the amazing opportunity to travel and speak publicly for a film that went viral on the internet getting over 100 million views. I have never been faced with so much inspiration and adversity at the same time. I'm still processing through a lot of my time with the organization but there are plenty of life lessons that I have learned so far!
