To make bread rise at high altitude, to keep my african violet alive, and to order a Jamocha shake at Arby's without them telling me their shake machine is broken.

ABOUT ME

Sarah tends to sing a lot in the kitchen, even though she is out-of-tune, lacks range and her friends and roommates visibly cringes when she takes stabs at high notes. She also has a tendency to sing songs she either knows none, too few or simply the wrong words of, which brings us to the time that George Michael’s Faith was on the radio and she crooned at the top of her lungs “my foood is yourrrs, son,” in lieu of a line that is apparently, actually “my foolish notion,” sending many into a fit of much-deserved snickering laughter. Determining that there was no point in having “foolish notions” if she cannot humiliate herself publicly with them, this is her motto.

Interessi

Sarah likes salt, shellfish, things wrapped, stuffed or balanced on figs, kitchy potholders, dried apricots, Bloody Marys and mimosas on Sundays before noon, pretty much anything pickled, and concocting life stories for people that pass her while she giggles on a park bench.
