About Me
CURRENT MISSION
...to make each day count.
ABOUT ME
I am an easy going guy, who enjoys the simple things in life. A good drink, with good company, a quiet beach, a good live band, I don't have ambition to be rich or famous, only to have enough money in my pocket in order to travel the world, meeting people and hopefully helping those who have less than me.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm gonna quote from a terrible movie, but this part always stayed with me and its very much my philosophy...
"I got everything I need right here with me. I got air in my lungs, a few blank sheets of paper. I mean, I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, where I'm gonna wind up. Just the other night I was sleeping under a bridge and now here I am on the grandest ship in the world having champagne with you fine people. I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you... to make each day count."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Because I have been rarely in my country over the last 3 or 4 years, its been very hard for me to host people regularly, when I am back I usually stay with family so this also makes it awkward to host people, but if I am home, I am more than happy to meet up with and host people who visit my city, as long as they don't mind doing free activities!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been lucky to visit many people who I ended up becoming friends with and have never had a negative experience yet, touch wood!
Interests
I always hate these questions, as most people like the same nice things as other people! So maybe please just read the "All bout you" section!

Music, Movies, and Books
The last book I read was "Discovering Beautiful :On the Road to Somewhere by Rory Miller, I recommend this highly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing experience as said above was the year and a bit I spent in the town of Pisco, Peru with a volunteer organisation that was set up after the 2007 earthquake. Met the most amazing people from Peru and the world , learned and taught so many things and grew as a person more than any other time in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to share all my experiences of travel and volunteering with anyone, I also speak a little Spanish and look to develop that more with people and obviously am willing to help people looking to learn English, although I must warm you Geordie English isn't quite the Queen's English!
