To build a character and sense of identity by crashing into others in this world who feel like there is something to impart and something to glean. I love discovering people and their cultures, paradigms, and passions. I love the good in this world.

ABOUT ME

I recently married my beautiful wife, and consider that marriage as my life's greatest endeavor. She is my hero. I am an active and very healthy person who loves cuisine and social events. I enjoy an expansive variety of activities and am up for new adventures, ventures, and foods. I took a ten day trip to Costa Rica on a whim; have taken classes for trapeze, acrobalancing, Flamenco, Creole cooking, home-made tomales and tortillas, and the list goes on and on. I enjoy music. I like most genres from country to classical tenors, Top 40's, hip-hop, and a string of YouTube artists. I'm not much of a drinker, but I can hold a conversation with the best of them. Virtually everything interests me: astrology, religion, sports, the arts, cultures, movies (I enjoy animated family movies and cleaner comedies), and if I am unfamiliar with it, I'll be glad to learn it! I love my wife. She is my world.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone in this world has a purpose and something to impart. We are all on this rough road together, so any opportunity we have to make this mortal experience sweeter, seize it! Everyone has a reason to be loved, and people are often cooler than they seem. Oh, and take care of your body. That's important to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have visited and hosted many couchsurfers in thirteen countries. The events are also a great pastime for me and I rarely pass up the opportunity to meet fellow travelers.

My marriage, Frisbee, cuisine, photography, Languages, dance, weightlifting, and acquiring new talents, abilities, and crafts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Meet Joe Black = All time favorite. My wife and I are the kind of nerds that love DreamWorks and Pixar movies. We enjoy light-hearted features and quotable movies. I don't read much, but the Calvin and Hobbes series has always been a treasure to the kid inside me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Seen Cirque Du Soleil: Ovo (a truly amazing spectacle)
-Gone on tour several times with a 36 member dance group.
-I saw six basilisks (lizard in Costa Rica) run across the water during a single safari float.
-Served a mission for my church and learned Spanish during that time.
-Seeing my wife dressed in white across the altar caps it all.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I never turn down an opportunity to teach someone how to dance. I am a linguistics freak and love languages; I'll share that info in a heartbeat. I've also taken boxing, tap dance, culinary, fashion (don't ask), exercise science courses! I also ask people about all kinds of things, so I am full of both useful and useless but often interesting facts from copious subjects of learning. Additionally, I am very devoted in my faith. I am always up for sharing with others what has brought me such joy and peace in my life.
