Music, Movies, and Books

> Brazilian music (the best thing in the country after the nature and food): Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, Djavan, Caetano, Legião Urbana, Cazuza, Silva, Tiê, Gal Costa, 5 a Seco, Liniker, and so many others
> A lot of British folks: Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Lucy Rose, Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division, Laura Marling, Laura Mvula, Ghostpoet, Florence + the Machine ...
> Ibeyi, Yuna, Stromae, AnnenMayKantereit, Milky Chance, Angus and Julia Stone, Alt-J...

> The Hitchhiker's guide through the galaxy, by Douglas Adams, is my favourite book series of all time. It is amazingly written, witty, sarcastic and so funny!
> Harry Potter, by JK Rowling, was where I started to love reading, my interest towards fantasy began
> Ensaio sobre a cegueira (Blindness), por José Saramago. Saramago portrays of the characters is so believable, even if though the premise of the book (a contagious blindness) sound impossible to happen. Makes you think about sanity
> 1984 and Animal Farm, Orwell. Made me question my surroundings and think about the human nature and society

> My neighbour Totoro, actually any film by studio Ghibli. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle,..
> Les Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. I think it was my first contact it a non American film. It got me fascinated by the different pace, and the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen is absolutly stunning !
> Dogville and Melancholia, by Lars Von Trier. The first makes you wonder about how easy people can be corrupted, while the second shows how hopeless we all are.
> V for Vendeta, the film and the graphic novel
