Über mich
Hey! So I've lived in Seville for almost 2 years because I always wanted to live in Spain, learn Spanish and enjoy the culture. I assist teaching English to Spanish children and give private classes to kids from 4 years old to mature adults. I love teaching English and giving classes because I meet a lot of people who are more than just students but become great friends and share their stories and teach me about their life experiences. I've give classes to government officials, aerospace engineers, naval officers and extraordinary people with a lot to give.
The best experiences that I've had when travelling have been spending it with great people or being spontaneous and humbled by something I didn't expect. I've seen a lot of the major cities in Europe and this summer I'll be travelling through Italy and Eastern Europe before going home to Australia in September. I'm looking forward to seeing parts of Europe I haven't seen and being open to encounter that sublime feeling of meeting new people in beautiful places and sharing everything I have to offer.
I like to say that I live 3 lives, I'm passionate about hospitality and see that as my most immediate career, something that I want to be successful at. I've always been passionate about video games and interaction and chose my degrees accordingly in university but instead of making video games, I came to Spain to fulfill my childhood dream and teaching English was the best opportunity I had. I never thought I would enjoy teaching and spending time with children as much as I have and am grateful for the opportunity I've had to explore teaching.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
To meet the locals who are so generous as to offer you their home and hospitality. These are the kind of people I appreciate and would like to meet when travelling! I'm always looking for travel advise and the perspective of the locals, the customs, the language and the culture. I like to be flexible with my plans but there are always some things that are a must see, do and experience.
Interessen
All the good stuff, there's not many things that don't interest me, but above all I'm interested in what a person is passionate about. Listening to someone talk about their passion is rewarding, even if it's not something that I'm personally passionate about.
I'm another one of those 'I love food, wine, coffee etc' people, but I love it because I'm passionate about it. I love food and hospitality because I'm passionate about that experience and what it offers people.
I love cooking and making cocktails, I've worked in bars, cafes and restaurants for 6 years and ultimately hope to give back to that community with my own venture one day soon.
I also enjoy photography and my Nikon D300 comes with me everywhere.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
If i was only allowed to listen to one artist/band for the rest of my life, it would be The Cat Empire. But anything that excites an emotive response in my me is what you will find me listening to and I feel the same way about film.
I don't read a lot, but the books that I've enjoyed most have been: The Count of Monte Cristo, Mind Games, How to Win Friends and Influence People, A Brave New World and lots of cooking books.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I opened a bottle of champagne with a saber... Le sabrage!
My biggest achievement however has been leaving Australia for 2 years to live abroad and travel Europe.

I'd love to continue learning Italian and always happy to help others with English, Spanish, cooking or cocktails. The things I know best.
