About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have safe-yet-not-boring fun and to meet lots of people and places and euro-stuff

ABOUT ME

Well I'm kind of a fun person to be around. I like adventures but I'm pretty responsible and I like planning and efficiency while doing anything. I like meeting new people and new places, I love to explore and even ... I love museums hehe. I really enjoy things that I can say: "this was touch by Van Gogh", or "Picasso stared hours to this same thing I'm looking at". I can't afford a lot of fancy traveling so I try to do my ways to travel as much as possible, sometimes works sometimes doesn't.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is: "live fast, die young"
Hehe just kidding!! Is not like that coz im boring (in the sense that I'm not a crazy bitch or something), but I do feel very identified with(or at least I admire) rock's lifestyle.

I love rock music, specially 70's and 80's kind of music. My favorite bands are: KISS, Scorpions (first row next september hehe), BÖC, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Dio, Iron Maiden, Guns and Roses, and many others, more or less in that order. Many times I plan my life listening to music while seated on the bus and starring at the sunset in the city.

I have a local radio rock show (you can listen to it through internet if u want ;D) every Thursday at 9pm (mexico time). If you want I can say hello to you on air, just ask hehe.

To listen to my show (Thursdays 9pm in Mexico):
Winamp o Windows Media Player: http://frecuenciatec.mty.itesm.mx

iPhone application:

For those about to rock, we salute you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel a lot and I'm a good traveler. I like to learn new cultures, and also be a good ambassador of mine. I DON'T LITTER, I hate that. If I have to carry in my hand a empty paper bag for hours I will. I also try to recycle as much as possible. Most of my traveling experience has been in the USA, and I have learned a lot about the cities I've been, and helped others to explore these places as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted two persons in Boston during 2008 (some good food included), and I hope in my little heart that someone will help me out this summer.

Interests

Besides traveling, I love cinema and theater. I work as an actress in cultural activities in my college and city. I also like photography, and I think I'm very good at it when I give it its time. I like figure skating but I'm not very good at it. Still skating is the sport I like the most. I study media production so I love movies (I value most of them) and production in general. Is a very VERY hard work, and sometimes frustrating. But doing anything that is creative, to conceive a blurry idea and to make it real and (maybe) heart-touching is wonderful. If you like to read, write, paint, take photos, act, direct, anything... welcome to the club.

By the way... I LOVE ANIMALS, SPECIALLY BUNNIES :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I really can't decide which is my favorite movie. I like a lot one called "The fall", by Tarsem, an independent movie with a great story, production and acting. I guess is my favorite. About other movies, well is a long talk and I'm a little tired, but I like the non-traditional ones, but yet not very snobby (snob like little miss sunshine or juno, not really my type, but still good movies).

About music, I have already talk about how I like hard rock :D

And books, well I don't read a lot but recently I've been seduced by the literature of my region.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing cinema is amazing, doing it at extreme weather is well, challenging.

By the way, SORRY FOR THE MISTAKES IN WRITING :)

Teach, Learn, Share

- Always use google maps to see in advance how the places you're going look like.

-Don't exchange currency in very touristic places, try to check where is the best deal (back home before you leave, in the airport of the country you're going, etc.) This really can save you bucks.

-Tuna cans can be your friends.

-Check reviews and prices on the Internet. If you can, have with you a mobile device with internet always while traveling -and buy me one :(-

-Mmmh.. my last advise is taken from South Park: Don't forget to bring a towel!
