Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been surfing some couches in my trip throughout the southeast of asia and europe. However, the website is not as effective in surfing as it is in meeting new people and making friends. I enjoy both of them but I love the second most.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At first I didnt have anything to write on this box because I didnt have the chance to couchsurf until my world trip in 2012.
So far, CS has been one of the coolest things I have experienced in my trip. The unique chance to meet new people and make TONS of friends of people who are already interested in the same things as I do. I have surfed a couple of couches in very unexpected ways and realize how important is hosting is for many people and then how delicate it can be to really learn how to be a good surfer. Its not only about surfing but there are many other things involved. Now I love surfing and I really value my hosts and their good will to help and to also make friends and meet cool people.
Btw, meeting people face to face through the social meetings from the website can be A LOT MORE EFFECTIVE than sending digital couch requests in my experience.
