Overview
About Me
I am a Colombian guy who wants to travel and meet people before I get into grad school. I love getting to know new cultures and learn new things, I'm very open minded and eager to have great experiences to tell when I get older.
I'm a little shy at first but then I turn into a very outgoing person.
I'm a chemist (mostly biochemist) so sometimes I'm a nerd and like to talk about science and about my research. But also I am a Latino guy that loves to dance, nightlife and traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm taking a year off to travel before I get into grad school. However when I stay in a hotel I don't get to meet much people and my experience is not as great than when I'm staying with some locals (friends or family).
My best friend can't travel with me but she suggested me to try CS so I get to meet more people and learn new things.
Interests
I love to eat and I enjoy cooking. Desserts and cooking with fruits are my speciality, also I like preparing Colombian dishes as arepas, sancocho, cazuela de mariscos, arroz con coco, bandeja paisa..
I'm the kind of guy that will never sit in a party. I dance all night.
When I was younger I played in the National Tennis Circuit in Colombia and since I was a kid I have been practicing swimming. This last year I've been hitting de gym regularly.
I'm a scientist, but one of the things I enjoy the most is teaching. As a volunteer I have shared beautiful moments with kids from low-income families that pursue a career in science. I've participated in several outreach events and there is nothing more satisfying for me than sharing my passion with kids and adults from very different backgrounds.
