Overview
About Me
Mountain dweller, athlete, RN, lover of the outdoors and education. My other passions include music of all sorts and wine. I travel throughout US wine county annually and love to study anything I can get my hands on in reference to wine!
No kids, no pets, and a wonderful guy with whom I share many adventures and my home. We love living in the mountains of AZ and exploring remote places as an escape from the daily grind. We are located a few hours from the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff, 3 hours from Phoenix, 4 hours from Monument Valley and Arches National Park and Mesa Verde, and 5 hours from Durango, CO. Awesome central location in the Southwest.
I am an RN and currently serve as a Director of Occupational Health in a fabulous hospital near my home.
I love exploring arts and culture when traveling and recreation when accessible. I would consider myself rather laid back and independent but always up for a fabulous meal and night on the town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Pursuing an MBA in Basel which requires two, one-week, annual trips for on-site work through the Swiss TPH. I know I will be busy when in Basel and expect to be at the school and site-seeing a majority of my stay. I am a;ways open to company but happy solo too. Needless to say, I wouldn't be a burden as a couch-surfing guest.
Outside of Basel, any trips would surround pure travel and enjoyment!

Music, Movies, and Books
Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Grateful Dead and anything from the 80's and 90's.
I love Jane Austen and will read any thing that perks my interest! This year has included "All the Light you Cannot See", and many amazing novels. Currently I am wrapped up in "Born to Run", the Bruce Springsteen autobiography.
Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and just about any good war stories top my movie lists. But....I enjoy a good chick flick / romance too!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Rainier! It was epic and the hardest thing I've ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have lived in or visited every state in the US, outside of Hawaii. Sharing my countries natural resources and National Parks is a passion and I am happy to recommend opportunities to any guest. Jason and I are regular campers and outdoor enthusiasts so we spend a great deal of time in the National Parks throughout the Southwest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We have a spacious, private guest room and bathroom on a separate floor of our town-home. If you enjoy natural beauty and amazing scenery, we live in the midst of a beautiful state with so much to offer.
We are laid-back, resourceful and happy to welcome visitors.
