Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
discovering the world and understanding the people, drinking tea and taking photos of doors.
ABOUT ME
I like traveling, but traveling means not only tourism. It refers to discovering the country as such, the welfare state and its social reality, meeting the locals. Being an insider represents for me the ability of being both inner participant and inner observer, in order to provide an accurate definition of various national states.
Also, I like going out and meeting people, hanging out with friends. But I'm not a party animal... I like discussing and discovering people, and not in a superficial way! I like to take my time and learn more about the people I am found of.
I am also a big tea lover and it is highly likely that I'll show you some nice tea places in whatever the city we'll meet.
I believe in volunteering!
PHILOSOPHY
all different, same respect!
we all live in our 'bubble'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
let me know if you are interested in Romania, France or the UK, their culture, social realities or random sightseeing tips!
Also, if you see Belgium or the Netherlands as more than simple countries, if you think they represent an art of living, an absolute brilliant lifestyle, we definitely should meet up!
Either way, I'll be happy to meet you and show you around Manchester and chat to you over a tea/coffee!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I like showing round "my" city to people that want to find out more about it, to those who want to discover its "unwritten rules".
I have also been hosted and I have to say that it has been a wonderful experience. Sharing the same house means converting yourself into a member of the family, means having the life the others have. It's a great experience!
Interests
people, foreign languages, photography (mainly photos of doors), hiking, tea drinking, international relations, human relations, communism/socialism, theatre, Flemish painting, poetry (Baudelaire, Verlaine, Eminescu )...
I'm also deeply interested in discovering the way of life of different new countries and their social aspects. I would like to convert my European knowledge into a wider one, a worldwide one.
