About Me

I'm a Spanish student who loves travelling, an expensive hobby... I know, but is worth it, I love adventure, new experiences... that's why I did Erasmus in Germany, Munster, where I learnt German and where I met amazing people, thanks to some of them I could go to a lot of cool countries Serbia, Poland, Iceland... Now I'm wondering where to go next and finish my studies.

I guess all of these new experiences require a particular personality, which is being social, cheerful, and very, very funny... :D That's who I believe I am.

I'm not just a traveller, also between my other hobbies are sports, I've been swimming for years, also I pilates and yoga and I'm always up to any fun class of the gym like zumba, spinning... I love biking, that's why I loved my Erasmus city (Madrid and the bike are not good friends, yet).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the start, I only used this to meet new people in my hometown, Madrid, to find out where international events took place, and things like that.

But now that I'm older I tried the real thing so I can really get to know local people wherever I go. Let them show you how their city is, what is the best of their culture, their gastronomy, and having fun.

I don't have a lot of experience yet, but I'm starting to! And by far, I had many good experiences.

Interests

I don't really know why, but I love learning languages. Maybe it's because I like talking, or maybe because I think sometimes you don't get the same amount of information about something if you only can get it from one or two languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love different types of music, I just listen to the right one in the perfect moment.

About the movies, I love watching a good comedy, or a drama, whenever. The thing I like the most is watching movies about a city I just visited or one I'm going to soon. Anyway, I am more of a TV series kind of person. In that area I watch almost everything from historical to superheroes, going through dramas and comedies as well.

One of my favorite books is "Mieses Karma", by David Safier, because it's fun and it shows life from a perspective we are not used to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived a train strike in France while doing an Interrail on my own. That involved visiting cities I wasn't supposed to, hitchhiking and sleeping locked alone in train stations, but I wouldn't change a thing.
I owe the most of it to all the people I was with along the way: those old friends who gave me shelter or kept me in good company, those who I've met along the way and treated me as a friend straight away, and all of those people I met while I was alone travelling and offered me whatever I needed: food, water, a phone, comfort, a charger, a book... I don't even know most of their names, but I'll never forget their kindness.
If I learnt anything during that amazing, nerve-wracking, mind-opening experience, it's that there are still loads of good people in this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone wants to try and learn some Spanish, or in lower levels practice their English, French or German, I'm up to it. As well as I am about learning languages like romance languages (easier for me) or maybe Russian will be my next challenge in a close future or actually I just want to know every language!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the secret of the Spanish tortilla, who I am mastering in my travels, since it's the Spanish recipe whose ingredients are the easiest to find in any place.

I can share some fun stories as well about my travels as well as a sympathetic ear to learn about all of yours!
