About Me

Hi, I'm Cristina.

I describe myself as funny, extroverted and happy! I like to meet people who shares their funny, extroverted ways of living life.

I left everything behind in Brazil to live one more dream: doing an exchange program in the Netherlands, living here for a year.

I arrived in October 2016.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and make friends!😉 Knowing places, taking pictures, having good memories for the future, exchange knowledge, sharing moments. I like pretty simples things. Talking about life experiences, having a beer and appreciating a sunset, building memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds, I just don't like too much silence. "Silence is too loud", as a friend says.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For most of you who is on CS for a long time and travel quite often, it must sound so silly! But for people from where I came from (a city with less then 3.000 inhabitants in the West of Santa Catarina state in South Brazil), it's a great accomplishment!

I've lived in the same place for years, studied, graduated from a college close to the city I used to live. All my friends live there, well not all, most of them had moved, but a few friends still remain there.

Lived abroad by myself after 24 years living with my parents in the same city in Brazil. I did the Au Pair exchange program for the first time in 2013 when I moved to Illinois, US. I changed the host family 3,5 months later and moved to Mercer Island, Washington where I lived for 8 months and a half.

Back to Brazil in 2014 I started working as an English teacher for 2 years and a half at a private language school. In 2015 I started the process of being an AP again, this time in the Netherlands.

Now, I've been living here for 5 months already. In October I'll go back to Brazil, but before that, I'm planning to know as much as I can from this amazing world.
