I studied Educational Psychology but I work as a high school teacher in Lima, Peru. My parents are Peruvian, I was born in Rio de Janeiro, then lived in the US all of elementary school, and have lived in Lima since then, so I'm a total mix! When I travel I like to get a sense of a city's personality, so the touristy spots aren't necessarily my priority. I also love to try new and different foods and I enjoy the ocassional hike . I also like music and dancing, but I'm not really a huge partier. Most of all, I love to meet new people and learn as much as I can from them.

Estudié Psicología Educacional pero trabajo como profesora de secundaria en un colegio en Lima, Perú. Mis papás son peruanos, nací en Rio de Janeiro, luego hice la primaria en EEUU y desde entonces he estado viviendo en Lima, así que soy una mezcla total! Cuando viajo me gusta conocer la personalidad de la ciudad, así que los puntos turísticos no son necesariamente mi prioridad. Me gusta probar comidas nuevas y diferentes y de vez en cuando hacer caminatas. También me gusta la música y bailar, pero no soy muy fiestera. Lo que más me gusta es conocer gente nueva y aprender todo lo que pueda de ellos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed twice so far and both were amazing experiences! My hosts and I have become good friends and I always feel that I get so much more out of my trip than I would have at any hostel or hotel. It's amazing to experience so much generosity and trust from a stranger and get to hang out with somebody who knows the city. This is my new favorite way of traveling :)

Music is one of my passions, I can't even begin to name artists here because there would be too many! In general I love Pop/rock, Latin music, MPB (Brazilian music), Samba, Indie and a lot of other random music!

Got lost in the hills of Ouro Preto (Brazil) with my CS host and was rescued by the firemen and park rangers :D
