About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take advantage of new opportunities, meeting new people and places and enjoying life so I can say when I am old and grey "i did it my way" - by the way, big Sinatra fan.

ABOUT ME

Outgoing, open-minded, curious and adventurous; though my laziness gets in the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted, gave tours through the city and met great people along the way. I got into couchsurfing because it's a great way to get to know people with similar interests and purpose than you.

Interests

There are lots. Travelling (obviously), politics, watching series, music, FOOD and beer. Lots and lots of beer. Also, you know that feeling you get when you learn something and it becomes part of you? Love it. Maybe that's why I got into education.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: depends really on the mood, but anything that goes from 1950's till present day. Mainly Rock, especially 60-70. I also love funk and jazz. Some artists would be: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, CCR, REM, Joe Cocker, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Police, Rolling Stones, Billie Holiday, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Billy Joel, System of a Down, Slipknot, Alabama Shakes, The XX, Jamiroquai, Blink-182, Los Amigos Invisibles,alt-j, ACDC...

Movies: Depends on the mood but Hitchcock, Tarantino, Kubrick are my favorites. I like movies that have a bit of mindgames or that are based on true stories. Also like documentaries. Especially about the universe. I'm a big fan of fantasy and sci-fi. Star Wars, X-Men, Lord of the Rings. I've seen the fellowship of the ring about 30 times. Huge fan of Disney and Pixar.

Series: i've probably seen every serie that has aired. Some would be: Friends, Black Books, Vikings, Sense8, Game of Thrones, Stargate Atlantis, The Big Bang Theory, How to Get Away with Murder, Breaking Bad, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Black Mirror, Modern Family, Queen of the South.

Books: I read mostly novels, though i also like shorts stories and poems. Some authors would be: George Orwell, Leon Tolstoi, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, James Joyce, Pablo Neruda, Paulo Cohelo, Kafka...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Still searching, but for now it would be doing volunteer work in Greece in a refugee camp.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have any requests. Everyone can learn from anyone about anything. Sharing life experience, ideas and goals can be beneficiary to both. I'm always eager to learn, especially about the other person's homecountry. It's a good way to get a realistic point of view of places i might travel to. I can teach you basic steps of latin dances. Granted, it's not my favorite and I'm not very good with it, but after a couple of drinks my latina side gets out. I can also teach you how to cook venezuelan food :) oh, and i do mean pancakes

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, principally a good conversation while drinking. It's a good way to get to know people
