Hello dear Couchsurfing community! 😄

I am Cristina, born in Barcelona, but I consider myself a citizen of the world. I have lived in Norway for the past 4 years. One year in the north, in a small town called Kirkenes where I got to know Norwegian culture deeply, and the rest of the time in Oslo, a great base to travel around the rest of the country and the world.

I am a nurse and I combine my work life with traveling. I love exploring the world and meeting new people to have enriching experiences.

Finally, after a lifetime of wanting it, I have put my stuff in storage and set off with my backpack to visit the world. Additionally, I am trying to revive my artistic side that I had abandoned when I started my nursing career and that I missed so much.

I am eager to meet many new people who want to share their experiences with me, and of course, to share my time with all the good souls I encounter along the way.

I have many hobbies, but above all, I love trying new things. I rarely say no to anything, although I can be a bit fearful at times, but I close my eyes, breathe, and move forward!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Kirkenes for a year and experienced all the seasons. Kirkenes is located at one of the northernmost points in Norway. During the winter, I experienced two months of darkness (Mørketid), with the sky illuminated by the northern lights. During the summer, there were two months full of light, with the sun shining throughout the night (Midnattssol).

I also lived for two months in a Quechua village in the middle of the Amazon jungle in Ecuador.

Teach, Learn, Share

For now, we can spend time together visiting a place, having a good conversation, sharing a beer or wine on a nice terrace, or going on a nature hike. I love any adventure and also enjoy peaceful plans, simply looking at the horizon and appreciating its vastness.

During this past year, I also started practicing yoga.

Even though I can't be an official in-person guide right now since I'm not physically in those places, I can give good advice about both Barcelona and Norway :) I've explored them thoroughly and hold them dearly.
