Overview
About Me
My name is Cristina and I was born in Leon, which is a little town in the north-west of Spain. I lived abroad in NY when I was 16 years old, later on I studied my undergraduate degree in Madrid (Spain), and my last year of masters in Chicago. Currently living and working in Denver ! Loving the outdoors !!
I love people who have a passion for life and strive to surround myself with people who actually live. I like to keep myself busy and active, whether is hiking, climbing, camping, skiing or anything involving nature I’m down! I also enjoy other activities as practicing Kung Fu, going to concerts, playing guitar, reading or hanging out with my friends at bars or at any cozy couch (who doesn’t love lazy Sunday afternoons?!)
By far, my favorite thing to do is traveling. Meeting new people, new cultures, new food, sharing experiences with others...there's nothing better than that. I firmly believe that it's the people you meet that make travel the rich, vibrant experience that it is. They shape our memories more than the locations themselves!
Last but not least, I’m one of those who believe that our world can be changed for the better and try to help make it a better, cleaner, and happier place than it currently is. We cannot forget about helping each other, that’s what makes us human.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im here because I believe that getting to know any place from the local perspective is always a much better experience than by ourselves. Plus, all my experiences have been so great that I cannot stop repeating ! My first one was in Portugal! I was on a road trip with my two best friends. The girl who hosted us was fantastic. I loved it and after that there were many more to come: two in Florida (Fort Lauderlade and Miami), three in California, New York, Colorado, Texas.
Interests
I am game to try anything at least once! Nothing better than good food, good wine, good friends. I love being outside in the fresh air! Whether it's running, kayaking, hiking, climbing, I am down!
