About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live and learn the most from whatever surrounds me.

ABOUT ME

i collect experiences. i always look for new adventures. i try my hardest to be better and let go of what is not. i am outgoing and love meeting new people. a fan of culture and the outdoors, i'm pretty much open for anything as long as it is original and new. i am also a workoholic, but fortunately my job allows me to move around and learn a little bit of everything. i don't get bored very easily, i make something out of the simplest thing.

PHILOSOPHY

Embrace everything that happens, no matter if it's good or bad. If it's bad, use it to your advantage. Sometimes your reach your best and flourish when you feel you are at your worst.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

right now I don't have a couch to host, however, I am more than happy to join anyone on a trip if possible or to show any visitors around here in Santo Domingo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i am quite new to Couchsurfing, so I haven't traveled yet and I haven't been a host either. I am excited to meet new people and to show others what my culture is about as I learn from other cultures as well.

Interests

I love reading, film, dancing, and magazines. I also love doing community work and traveling. I do a lot of internal tourism, since there are a lot of wonders to discover in this island.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: A clockwork orange, Inception, The Skin I live in, Casablanca, Celda 211, The Reader, Chinatown, Something's Gotta Give, Bowling for Columbine, The Help, among many others. I am a film lover, I watch films almost daily and am always studying and analyzing productions.
Books: there are too many to start, all those written by Gabriel García Márquez, Diary and Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, La Elegancia del Erizo, The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, the Harry Potter Series and The Lord of the Ring Series, among many others.
Music: my country has that interesting mix of local sounds such as merengue and dembow, other latin sounds like salsa an bachata, and global sounds like rock, pop, electronic, etc. So I mean it when I say, I listen to just about everything.

Teach, Learn, Share

i have a lot of things to share. i can teach you spanish if you are interested. y también por el otro lado puedo enseñar inglés. also, dancing, specially merengue and salsa. and maybe some cooking, specially if you like pasta or veggetarian food!
