First of all I want you to know that if you host me you will have a place to stay in New York City whether I am home or not.
I am most the time traveling and I have a cozy clean studio in Manhattan in the best neighborhood. My friend will let you in and the only thing I ask is that you leave it clean.
Of course you have to be a verified CS with lost of experience and good references.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I LIKE TO HOST PEOPLE INTERESTED IN PEOPLE, not just LOOKING for a free place to stay.
Please read my profile and let me know why would you want to spend time at my home and share few days with me.
I CAN ONLY HAVE ONE GUEST at the time, I live in a very small studio in Manhattan.
Very rarely I do make exceptions to this rule depending if the people asking me for a couch are old friends or CS I know from before.
I DO NOT HOST PEOPLE WITH NO REFERENCES, in my experience people with good references are a lot more fun to be around and no unpleasant surprises..
PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR LAST NIGHT AT MY PLACE IF YOU NEED TO GET UP EARLY TO CONTINUE YOUR TRAVEL.
I like to go to sleep around midnight and I wake up around 10 AM, but this rule does not apply if we go out partying and end up going to sleep at 4 AM; if you are willing to adapt to my schedule you are very welcomed to stay at my place if not, this is not your place.
AND LAST.
I like to sleep naked when I am home in the summertime, so be aware and let me be. No a sexual innuendo, I am not a nudist, I just sleep naked and if I have to use the toilet at night I will not cover my body.
Just ignore me when I go to the bathroom at night if you are sleeping in the hall way. If I am your guest I can compromise when I have to walk out of my room or if I am sleeping in a shared space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It started having guests July 29/2012. I have been having a really good experience as a host finding great company, and making new beautiful friends.
I like the fact that my guests come at night and leave in the morning, there is so much to do in NYC.
Then I will have the day to myself to do what I do, to have those moments of privacy doing my things.
Of course if someone needs to come home for a specific reason I am available and flexible.
I also Of course I can compromise if the situation requires.
I do not feed my guests, but to share the expenses and a meal together is always a good thing. There are few very cheap restaurants less than a block away if we want to go out. I DO NOT expect that you will pay for my dinner, in NYC each person pays his own.
I have been traveling the world for the last five years and I have had the fortune to be accepted to be a guest at really amazing and loving people's places. Having company sometimes during my travels is priceless.

Interests

My passion is to travel the world. Sharing my travel experiences and thoughts in FB with my friends and family it's been lots of fun. I like to eat as healthy as possible, when I am home 99% of my food is organic. When I am traveling that is not always possible, so I have to be more flexible, but I rather have fruits, salads or sea food. I do not eat sugar or white bread. I have visited 50 countries, there are so many I still have to go. 2017, I bought an RV and I have done a couple of amazing loops around the US, visiting National Parks, Hot Springs and friends in a 30.000 miles my trip. It has been a wonderful experience. Next year I would love to have the right company. It gets tiring to drive by myself This is a big and beautiful country to visit. Let me know if you would like to share some of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

When I am traveling you will always see me at relaxing time with a book in my hands. I love reading
I liked very much Ines of my Soul by Isabel Allende, great fun; it was good to check my country's history in the time of the Conquistadors.
Well that was long time ago I am about to finish Land of a Thousand Suns.
When I was in Africa I read White Thorn, a great book
In India I read Shantaram. At home I read the entire Bosh series of Michael Connelly. A great detective story. I am always leaving a book and taking one in the hostels around the world.
Love classical music, Sinatra, Elvis, Marley, so many! It depends on the mood, I love latin dancing, and I enjoy very much meditation music, and mantra chanting.
I have seen Forest Gump a bunch of times, and one of my favorite movies as well as a Chinese movie call King of Masks. Classics are always fun too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The realization that God and I are one. My artistic talents. The painful fall of the Twin Towers in NYC. Starting to travel the world at 70 years old by myself. Going for a drive around the US by my self visiting National Parks, Hot Springs and friends in my RV.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could probably help you with your Spanish or English
I can give you some tips in latin or how to do fast and healthy cooking, how to move around NYC, what are the interesting places to go visit, shopping etc.
We could go for a Summer concert in the city or another happening when you are here.
Or go dancing. Or even a Broadways show if I have not seen it yet.
You can expect me to tell you the truth and be blunt if your behavior or conduct is not aceptable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share my life experiences to good ears. I think my life stories have a teaching. I am old enough right?
Most people tell me I should write a book.
I am too busy traveling, and living in the best place of this planet my City!
Maybe some day when I cannot keep running any more I will find a ghost writer that will listen to my stories, make notes while I will be having much fun reliving such great stuff.!
I have had a very interesting life and I am not going to change any of it.
