ABOUT ME

I'm a Filipino living in different parts of the country. I once lived in Agusan (hometown), Cebu, Manila, and Davao, and now back in Manila. Looking forward to more mobility, though. I like wakeboarding, climbing mountains, rugby, flag football, pub quizzes and basically learning something new every day.

I also founded/host Trivia Nights Pinas (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). My brainchild, happy that it has ran for five years already and still is running (and growing in terms of number of teams and participants).

PHILOSOPHY

Collect stories. Create stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The Beach, Fight Club and anything X-Men. Memento is my favorite film.

I love music. My genre taste is flexible, although I haven't given much attention to rock. For artists, I love Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles, Vampire Weekend, Foo Fighters, Gorgon City. It's pretty varied, actually. I also support Original Pinoy Music.

And books. Oh books. Trivia and travel books. I don't read a lot though. But I do read a lot of encyclopedia. Lately I've been reading about African History, Philippine Inclusive Growth, the Life of Buddha and Globalisation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My very first climb was on the highest peak of the country. My second was on the second AND fourth highest. Amazing how the clouds pass by you.

Witnessed sunset at a peak of a mountain and at a seaside. Both views are magical.

Went to Kuala Lumpur alone, and that was my first time outside the country. I stayed there for 6 days, but only stayed in Malaysia. I didn't intend to go places, I just wanted to feel like a real local/Malaysian in my stay, and amazingly, I really felt as if I was one with them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
