About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I have stated above, learning and friendship are very important aspects of my life. I think through friendship we can all learn many things we should just be willing to share and open our minds. I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to have friendly experiences with the cities I visit. It's not always just about the historic sites, the museums or the landscapes. The people living in the cities are perhaps the most important part of the trip. Through talking, sharing a beer and laughing I'm pretty sure I could get involved in a better and friendlier way with the general atmosphere of the city. I don't want just to visit a place, I want to meet its human constituents and learn from them.
Interests
As a result of being a student in Canada I have learned the value of getting to know people from all over the world and with a whole bunch of experiences from which you can learn great things. Friendship is for me a very important aspect of my life as well as writing and reading. Since I was just a kid I learned that is very important to be grateful for what you've received in your life specially if you have been gifted with amazing friends or colleagues that would be willing to help you when they can.
I am a big bike fan. I don't do drugs and don't smoke either.
I love the animals. Back in Peru I have two Schnauzers (Mateo and Luana) who always receive me with lots of love when I go for a visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to pretty much all types of music. However, my favorites are rock, britpop, post punk and jazz.
Books are probably my only addiction :) I enjoy reading a wide variety of books. From comic books to poetry. Of course, Spanish literature is my main interest careerwise but I find literature from all over the world very interesting too.
I love going to the movies with friends or getting together for a Netflix night. The last movie I saw was Whiplash and I loved it. Highly recommended!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have met wonderful people in Canada who have shown me all the things we can accomplish if we're willing to help at each other. I have also travel on the west side of that country and I have experienced the overwhelming landscapes around the Rocky Mountains and the marvelous sunsets from Vancouver. I love the ocean!
Teach, Learn, Share
When I was just a kid I discovered how important it is to help other people. In Lima, for instance, I used to guide some classmates and help them with some subjects with which they struggled. In my house, I have also helped my sister and my mom by giving them advice with certain issues. With them I learned that sometimes just hearing and showing interest can mean and help a lot.
I am very passionate at learning. In fact I'm one of those guys who believe that we never stop learning and that we should seize every opportunity to try new things and gather new experiences. Therefore I love traveling and taking walks around the area where I live in order to see what's going on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer hosts my own experiences and advice in case they wanted to travel either to Canada or Peru. Respect, of course is the most important part in any scenario. My Spanish knowledge is also available for learners and we could even become Tandempartners!
