ABOUT ME

I'm the youngest of two sisters, and family is an important part of my life. I'm a well humored person,and mainly an optimistic towards life. Accordingly, I like to laugh, and make other people laugh. I have some good friends, but not many of them, I don't have the energy to keep many friendships. Besides, I like to have my space and be let alone sometimes. In my spare time, I watch movies, eat ice-cream (lemon is my favorite), listen to music (I like good music of almost every kind) go to the beach, to the book and cd's store (and my pockets are lighter in the end), and take walks. I prefer to do it with company, but if not I'll do it anyway. I like to avoid stepping on the lines of the street walks, wich according to a portuguese writer means that I haven't killed the child in me=). On top of that, I still haven't decided what I want to be "when I grow up"!...

PHILOSOPHY

Don't just live, understand what I can do to make each day better than yesterday, for me and those around me. And always give back, not just take. I don't like to think far ahead, I think it takes away the fun of it. I also don't like pessimism, I think it doesn't take you anywhere. Handle difficult situations with a smile, and don't make up problems when there aren't any.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the present I am living with my parents, and I can't host. But in the future I would like to host too, cause I really think that it's the best way to travel and understand the places you visit. For now, whenever I surf I will try to be nice and persuade people to visit Portugal!

Interests

People, psychiatry and psychanalysis, reading (most recently reading neil gaiman), music and going to concerts (much better than your ordinary radio), scuba diving, sky sports (altough I never tried), hiking, painting (but I never get to finish anything)and painters (Magritte!), comedy (come back, conan!)... Sish! I don't know...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll list one of each, very meaningful to me. "Out of Africa", the movie, "The portrait of Dorian Gray", the book, and the music by God is an Astronaut, altough probably my favorite band as a whole is Muse (yes, I know, a bit commercial). I like to listen to good soundtracks (Michael Nyman, Max Richter and Yann Tiersen rule!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving 10 meters from the surface, and just enjoying the silence and the beauty of the sea.
