Our current mission, hmm... to laugh, alot . To be kind even when we are hot and tired and have way too much crap in our packs. To see the world the way it is, not the way we thought it should be. To make and be friends.

ABOUT ME

*** Well the 1st 14 months of travel there were 3 of us then... Rachel, our daughter needed to return home to complete her university. Without her we are more wanderers than travelers but still on an adventure. The following is a little about us as we started this journey but now its just 2, Kevin and Andi.
*** I guess this is all about US. We are mom, dad and youngest of four traveling together. Family, but more importantly friends. We are currently on a round the world journey which on paper will last a year, but I'm thinkin' a lot longer every day.
You should know this is Andi (mom) writing this, so they may have some disclaimers when we meet. :)
Kevin (Dad)- Adventerous, type A - "gotta climb one more hill to see what's over there" kind of guy. Amazing sense of humor. Likes to talk and is possibly obsessed with maps.
Rachel - Goof ball! Likes to try EVERYTHING! Beautiful inside and out. Sometimes babysits mom and dad, and is always our moral compass.
And me (Andi) - Likes to relax, (brought my own hammock) OK a bit lazy. But I'm fun and a great cook. Wine coneseuor or wino, depending on the day.
We are all easy going, light hearted flexible travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

We are Christians, but not at all religous. We believe that Jesus is who He says He is, and He meant what He said (especially the love one another part). We respect all opinions, perspectives, and lifestyles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We got involved in couchsurfing because we always have people staying at out house anyway, and we have so much fun we thought we would add to the party.
Also we are traveling long term and are poor, so we are hoping to crash other's parties from time to time..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first time was in Egypt. Stayed with a Muslim man for what was supposed to be three weeks, we became such good friends that we ended up traveling together for two months. Now we are addicted.

Interests

Life interests us. Watching children play. Taking amzing pictures of random things like rusty door hinges. Traveling of course. learning from people, experiences and cultures. Trading stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Captain Ron, Hideous Kinky, Book of Eli, Nacho Libre, Rachel and Kevin like horror movies, me - not so much.
Books - I would love to say that we are so intelectual that we have a long list of classics for you, but we don't. We usually wait for the movie. Andi is the reader in the family, and has eclectic taste-ranging from Dean Koontz to Richard Ford.
Music - Anything but Jazz (sorry if you're a jazz fan, nothing personal)

Teach, Learn, Share

Kevin - Can teach handyman skills, patience, and would love to learn to relax.
Andi - Can teach cooking, kindness, and would love to learn to not be so afraid of everything.
