About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Building bridges across nations with cultural and art projects!

ABOUT ME

open-minded, quiet but talkative. I have traveled to many places, worked in many countries, can share many interesting experiences and stories. My vision is to create mutual understanding and appreciation among the cultures of the world. I work with artists and cultural institutions to promote crosscultural work.

PHILOSOPHY

celebration of diversity. (I've actually studied philosophy... )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I share a house with a friend in Triengen, a village in the Lucerne countryside, Switzerland. We have a guest room (shared bathroom and kitchen, dining, winter garden, garden). In turn, I look out for couchsurfing experiences wherever I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great experiences in many countries and with many visitors. I look forward to be your host!

Interests

Mostly I visit places with a purpose or in a project context, and try to connect to as many people as possible. Staying with a couchsurfing host makes me feel at home in any place in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Action and detective movies and thrillers, but also indie movies. World music, jazz, fusion, classic -- wide range of taste!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I invited the Dalai Lama to Switzerland in 1991 and organized an event with him and the German theologian Eugen Drewermann in Zurich. The book with the two speeches is still selling.

Teach, Learn, Share

Depending on my projects, I work with professional teams, with volunteers, students & interns who are involved in cultural exchange, in organizing events (concerts, exhibitions, workshops etc.) to bring artists and audiences from various cultures together. At the same time I'm eager to learn about others' experiences... Open-minded, non-dogmatic, I like good discussions & exchange of thoughs, good (vegan) food, outings.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel experiences, philosophical debates, cooking, hiking. If I plan to visit events during my stay, I can usually organize an extra ticket for my host (if they are interested).
