ABOUT ME

I spend half the year getting paid by the National Park Service to go camping and play with fire. The other half I spend doing whatever the heck I want, wherever the heck I want. I'm a not-so-closet pyromaniac and would honestly much rather light stuff on fire than put stuff out. Currently working my way towards a job where I can legally do so:-D Nobody would ever mistake me for an extrovert, though I enjoy good conversation and open up more once I get to know you better.

I used to translate but I never seem to have time for that anymore. Still trying to host/surf when I can, though my job makes it hard at times.

Music, Movies, and Books

This should give you an idea of my priorities:I own about 1,000 books (most of which have been read at least once, and some as many as 10-15 times).I own about 45 music CDs running the gamut from Argentine tango to Finnish heavy metal, with stops along the way at Cuban hip-hop, Russian house music, and American hard rock.I do not own a television. It's highly unlikely that I've ever seen (insert your favorite TV show here) and the odds are only slightly better that I've seen (insert your favorite movie here).Clear as mud? ;-)

Done: Survived 12 years of the American public school system with my curiosity and critical thinking skills intact.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you more than you ever wanted to know about ecology, forestry, or firefighting. If you're a novice camper I could offer you a lot of pointers as well.

Learn:
1) Any help with practicing my Russian and Finnish would be great.
2) Freestyle cross country skiing.
3) Anything else. Surprise me.
