Life's very short, but it can also be very generous, so I try to take every chance I get to have fun, learn new things, see new places and people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a host and potential surfer, try to host whenever I can, but I do get loads of requests, though, so I aplogize in advance if I have to decline :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie, so far I've done some hosting, plan on doing some surfing, so far it's worked out great :3

兴趣

I'm currently studying art, I love to paint, draw, discuss art and wander around museums all day, I also love books (and talking about books, discovering books I haven't read yet and completing my ever-growing reading list) and movies (ditto).

My tastes are very eclectic - on the literary front, I mostly read American and English authors, , but I'm also fond of the French and the Russians (see my shelfari shelf, user: Cruel Panda God; currently fascinated with Sasha Sokolov and Albert Cohen);

My musical tastes are rather inconsistent (I jump from opera to indie to folk to prog rock to whatever, but my all time favorites include Nick Cave, Patti Smith, David Bowie et alii; recent discoveries - La Rue Ketanou, Johnny Flynn);

As for movies, I'm also pretty open-minded, I enjoy the classics (40s film noir, screwball comedies, Hitchcock), as well as more recent stuff (favourite directors include Wes Anderson, Peter Greenaway, Jim Jarmusch, Darren Aronofsky); last movie I was fairly impressed by - Mr.Nobody

First time at the Louvre (and the first time I saw Géricault's Raft of Medusa); my first night in Tokyo (walking the dark, crowded, brightly illuminated city streets in the sweltering heat of summer); my discovery of the second-hand bookshops in Paris, rue Saint Michel
