About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I work for a small traveling carnival during the summer, and spend my springs, autumns, and winters either full hermit in a random city, or wandering the countryside visiting friends I haven't seen recently.
ABOUT ME
I left Canada in January 2009 to begin my hitchhiking trip across North America. I've been all over Canada and the United States and I've now acquired a travel partner. I took a long stall during late 2009/early 2010, and then did a second tour of Canada and the US with a friend. I've lived in about two thirds of the major cities in Canada, and generally live somewhere new every winter.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe everyone deserves the right to do what they'd like with their life without having to please society as a whole, provided they are not taking advantage of society's goodwill in a selfish manner. As long as you are not harming others I see no reason why you cannot do what you wish. I lead my life trying to be the best person I can be, and the way I see it that is a winning deal in any theology!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While I have been traveling I have honestly been trying to avoid CS as much as possible because I feel like I am imposing on others. It doesn't help that I am almost always broke during my adventures, and I feel like I am taking advantage of people for requesting a place to sleep and some conversation.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I have only couchsurfed a few times. The first time was with Matt Falcon in Seattle, and I had an amazing few days with them. He was a wonderful host and I HIGHLY recommend him. The next time was in Tacoma and it was more of a crash 'n' go kind of thing because of the timing and work schedules. I've couchsurfed a few times since then and they've always been positive experiences. I have yet to host others, but once settled again that's the plan.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a LOT of metal, ambient, instrumental, electronic, etc.
I watch a lot of films and I really couldn't name my favourites. I tend to watch anywhere between a half dozen to a dozen films a week if I have the time.
I'll read anything if it's well written. I had several hundred books but stored them with a friend when I went traveling. I read a lot of science, philosophy, horror, science fiction, and fantasy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've met some amazing people, and I have spent a lot of my travels meeting people from the now-defunct internet forum Find Your Geek, which was a sort of geek social networking. It heavily revolved around forums and chatting, and there was an unofficial IRC channel the regulars hung out in for about a year or two.
