About Me

So I've recently revamped my profile page because a person today is not alike himself/herself yesterday - we shed our skins every so often, to sail on through life.

I wish to say I love life, but now I just love people, and the little things that happen when you meet a new person. The way a stranger becomes a friend, the warm smiles and enthusiasm, and the little quirks and habits that makes everyone just a little bit different but so uniquely special, and warmheartedly endearing.

Sometimes I feel like I'm standing on top of the world, looking down into everyday lives and wondering how everything can be different. Many times I'm simply pushing forth with my own path when the mould simply doesn't fit with my ideas of life. I'm a little great observer, and with it comes sensitivity and a big heart for difference, change and embracing the marginal.

I'm like an ice cube with butter fingers. I warm up quickly to kindness, and genuine people; and can be a little careless with a more than faulty sense of direction, although my heart is always in the right place :) when it has decided to go all in into a project or a belief, I always end up at my destination.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've started off with an amazing experience with a genuinely exceptional couchsurfer host, and haven't looked back since.

& because I love to live and learn from others who come from all around the world - even at home it is as if I am traveling myself.

Interests

I think you can tell the soul of a person from what her quirks are, what she likes and what she doesn't, and so here are mine :)

I love the smell of barbecue in the open air, the smell of cake boxes, cold sunny days and warm hugs, the sounds of waves crashing onshore, open-minded people, smiles, live music, lively atmospheres, dancing, meditation, sandy beaches, being alone in vast deserts, and I want to see real snow.

I love deep conversations, all things political and sociological, reading, writing stories, public speaking, spirit of protests and rallies, night skies and the silence of the night.

I absolutely adore warm and kind people. Passionate people. Inspired souls. Those who have a sense of humor. Those who have a light in their eyes when you mention a particular topic. Those who love life. Above all, I love people who exude positivity and treat all as equals and with warmth.

I simply dislike people who are out to take advantage, deceive or are selfish. So if you're here only for a free stay or fall into the above categories, please save yourself the trouble of messaging me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Believed in the kindness of strangers and trusted myself in doing so - all of my most unforgettable adventures have started off that way!

And also: turning into an oncoming lane in my driving test.

Teach, Learn, Share

Go all out or go home.

Don't listen to what society tells you - nothing is true, everything is changing, and only morals stand the test of time.

I can teach you to think differently, and the art of confidence.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The innumerable thoughts running wild in my head, my passion for life and all things close to the heart, and a couple of beers :)

Also the language of the world!! ( by which I mean English / Chinese / Spanish ; I think that covers about 90% of the world already!! :):) )

But above all, I want to share my smiles, and the goodwill and kindness as inspired by my first CS experience.
