About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live a sustainable, musical, and peaceful daily life.

ABOUT ME

Born in Indiana; I have lived in 7 states, on a Marine Corp base and even had the opportunity to live and work in London for several months.

I am a lover of all things nature and music. I am a backpacker, a hiker, a former triathlete, an explorer, a rambler, a swimmer, a gymnast, a yogi, an animal lover, an environmentalist, an organizer, a manager, a helper, a giver, a lover, a friend, a sister, an aunt and a mother.

I love to read and I write about many things that I relate to or find some meaning in. I enjoy the calm and like to be balanced. I laugh a lot. I find people interesting and want to know all I can about them. I hope to share experiences and have relationship in which I can learn and grow to be a better person.

PHILOSOPHY

Fools are we if hate's the gate to peace.

Leave the world a better place than how you found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am open to hosting, if it works out. Couchsurfing helped me get across the country (on the road 42 days), meeting amazing friends along the way.

We currently live in Delhi, a suburb west of downtown Cincinnati. We have one room available with a queen size bed. No pets.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 2 years as a unaccompanied youth and couch surfed as a teenager. Back then it wasn't an organized effort; instead you meet someone, make friends and have a place to stay for a night, a week, a month. Through the years of traveling however I made accommodations so I could spend time with myself but while in London, I met a Kurdish Muslim family who took me in during my last 3 weeks so I wouldn't have to stay in hostels and I found the experience to be absolutely wonderful. Connecting with good people in a way that you typically would not makes more sense than spending time alone while exploring a new area. You learn so much more and have a lot more fun that way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Dispatches From the Edge, Think On These Things, Audacity of Hope, One Dead in the Attic, If You Don't Know, Fast Food Nation, Fast Food Nation, Wild At Heart, The Fifth Agreement, The Giving Tree, Captivated (to name a few), Music- Wow, I don't know where to start, I LOVE music, ALL music, if it has a beat I move to the music. Movie- Sabrina, Gone With the Wind, When Harry Met Sally, are some of my favorites, I like classical, musical, comedy, action, and adventure films. I don't dig movies that take to long to develop, I have a short attention span.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon in Greece, watched the sunrise in St Augustine Florida and then the sunset in Clearwater FL in the same day. Saw a eagle tear apart a kittywake in Alaska.
