Interests
Vegetarian food, fibre crafts (mainly knitting), sociology. languages, natural history. I'm reasonably well read, though I have a lot to learn.
I know a little about the history of Scotland and the history of Glasgow. I also like going for walks and seeing the wildlife. I'm interested in other cultures, societies and languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've read so many wonderful books I couldn't possibly list them all. On Beauty by Zadie Smith and Our Tragic Universe by Scarlett Thomas are among my favourite novels of all time. Non-fiction - Daniel Everett's account of life and language in the Amazonian Jungle, Don't Sleep There Are Snakes is a good one.
I like two kinds of music, Heavy and Metal :)
Movies: all the Monty Python ones, Belville Rendez-Vous, The Matrix Trilogy. I generally don't like violent films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched the comet Hale-Bopp, as, night after night, it grew from a little bearded star near the horizon to a big bright smudge overhead. It won't appear again for 2000 years. I feel privileged to have seen it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to bellydance! I think I covered what I'd like to learn in the "Interests" section.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could knit you something personalised, cook delicious vegetarian food (and wash up afterwards!)
