Student in International Development Studies. Living in Quito, Ecuador at the moment to do research for my Master's thesis. Very interested in anything having to do with people, society, psychology, environmental and global poverty and development issues. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I'm going to a place that is new to me, I think the best way to get to know it and experience it is not staying in a hostel and work down a list of tourist attractions, but meet local people who in my opinion know much more interesting information about the place. I'm always open and keen to meet new people so we can share experiences with each other, making the experience of the city in question many times more valuable.

Music is too much to list, books are mostly Dutch literature or scientific. Movies: Rainman, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction. I hate horror movies :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking across East Africa, living in Ecuador, doing gigs playing drums, roadtripping across Europe, cycling up the mountains in the French Alps, bungee jumping.
