About Me
****I DO NOT ACCEPT LAST MINUTE REQUESTS!! (I have a busy life and a room mate, so I can't change my schedule last minute) *****
****DO NOT SEND ME A COUCH REQUEST FOR MORE THAN 3 DAYS (I am here to offer an experience as a friend, not a free place to live!!!)****
Hello fellow surfers! Back in the day, I traveled extensively around the world where I had some incredible couch surfing experiences, and now I am in a position to pay it forward and become a host!
I live with my husband and our room mate in a cute house right next to downtown Culver City which is close to bars, public transit, and about 6 miles East of the Marina Del Rey beach. We all work really hard, but we've all traveled and love to host people so we want to show travelers our beautiful city as much as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
I think my biggest goal from my journey was to learn how to live in the moment. Traveling has been the only thing that has brought me back to fully experiencing, witnessing, and participating in everything that is happening around me. I want to keep that attitude with me always.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted a little bit before traveling, but now I am in a better location and home for it so I will be doing it a lot more!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In early June I flew into Istanbul, Turkey right when the protests began in the Besiktas area. My couch surfing host lived a few minutes walk away from all the action, and he and his friend took me out into the crowd and showed me a completely positive side to the protests rather than the violence that was being shown online or on the news around the world.
It was really moving to see so many people come together and stand up for their rights, and if I had stayed in the tourist area of Istanbul rather than use couch surfing, I would have completely missed that experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think one of the most EPIC things I have done was trekking for three weeks around Mt. Everest in the Himalayas. It was incredibly tough at times, but at the end of every climb there was a view that would just take my breath away! Those mountains are so big they look like they are touching space. I highly recommend that trek for anyone with an adventurous spirit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn about what is going on in cultures/countries around the world from local people and how people live their lives day-to-day. I've learned about so many things that I was not exposed to in the US, and couch surfing made all of that learning happen for me. If I ever meet you, please share your life story with me! I will love it!
